Tomorrow, we’re going to be writing about weird musical instruments. Our inspiration was Nils Frahm, a classically trained German pianist who recorded his latest album, Solo, on a 12-foot-tall upright piano called the Klavins M370. Frahm called it “the most inspiring piano recording session I’ve ever done.” (As he should, because Solo is a freaking awesome album.)
Frahm is currently helping to raise money for an even taller piano called the Klavins M450, which will be 15 feet tall when created. It’s a lifelong dream of the piano’s creator, David Klavins.
Just remember—tomorrow’s issue will have instruments even crazier than this.
